Service Animals of America exists to be the most trustworthy, easy-to-understand resource for people who need a service dog or support animal. We believe nobody should have to wade through confusing legal jargon or fall for scam websites. Our job is to educate first, then connect you with licensed mental health professionals when you’re ready. Dr. Patrick Fisher, PhD, NCC
Dr. Patrick Fisher founded TheraPetic Healthcare Provider Group in 2016 after years of seeing people confused and taken advantage of by fake service dog “registration” sites. His doctoral dissertation at Walden University (2021) validated the use of support animal intervention for anxiety — proving through clinical research what thousands of families already knew: these animals change lives.
